Drug belongs to group of the MAO HP-selection inhibitors of V type, possesses protivoparkinsonichesky action. As a result of an inhibiting effect on MAO the level of a dopamine increases in TsNS and process of formation of toxic free radicals who are much formed at Parkinson's illness is slowed down. Drug also possesses neurotyre-tread action. In therapeutic doses of Azilekt does not block a metabolism of the biogenic amines arriving with food, respectively, hypertensive tyramine - the caused syndrome is absent.

Pharmacokinetics

After intake drug is quickly soaked up in a gastrointestinal tract. Cmax in blood is reached in 20-30 minutes. Bioavailability of drug at the level of 40%. Linkng with blood proteins varies from 60% to 80%. Razagilin biotransformirutsya almost completely in a liver by dealkylation and a hydroxylation with formation of a low-active metabolite of aminoindan. It is removed by kidneys and partially through intestines.

Indications to use

As drug for monotherapy or in a combination with other HP for treatment of an illness of Parkinson.

Contraindications

Side effects

Interaction

It is impossible to accept along with other MAO inhibitors because of high risk of development of hypertensia. Joint administration of drug with the sympathomimetic HP containing ephedrine and dextromethorphan is not recommended.

At a concomitant use of drug with inhibitors of the return serotonin reuptake, tetracyclic and tricyclic antidepressants there is a high risk of development of a serotoninovy syndrome which is shown by motive concern, confusion of consciousness, a fever, diarrhea, a tremor.
