Bacterial infection

Bacterial infection represents the process connected with infection with bacteria from external environment and also with transfer of pathogenic microorganisms from one person or an animal to another. Bacterial infection usually is understood as infection of the population in a certain territory. The center of bacterial infection – so is called the center of this infection.

In case of detection of bacterial infection in any territory is undertaken a number of measures among which:

  • Cleansing of the people living in this territory is made
  • The emergency prevention of incidence is carried out
  • Define sick people, and also with suspicion on this disease
  • Make veterinary control, deratization, disinsection, disinfection

In the center of quarantine the hospital can be developed. As a rule, in this case, all service personnel have no opportunity to leave it and have to remain always there.

Quarantine is called the system of regime and antiepidemiological actions which are directed to elimination of development of an infection in the center and full isolation of the bacteriological center from the outside world. Quarantine includes actions for protection of the center, entrance exit prohibition from it, the organizations of commandant's service and other actions of regime character. Quarantine usually appears in territories of high-contagious infection (a malignant anthrax, cholera, plague).

The observation is provided by system of actions which provide a number of the treatment-and-prophylactic or insulating and restrictive measures directed to preventing distribution of bacterial infection. The observation includes cleansing, identification of sick people and animals, the emergency prevention, prohibition on export of property from observation perimeter, restriction of departure and entrance. The observation is usually carried out at low-contagious infection.
