One tablet contains 10 mg of extract of a belladonna (Belladonnae Spissum) and 300 mg of hydrosodium carbonate.

As excipients are used: corn starch, anhydrous colloid silicon dioxide and magnesium stearate.

Release form

Becarbonum is issued in tablets. In a cardboard pack there can be 1, 2, 3, 5, 10 bezjyacheykovy packagings on 6 tablets.

Pharmacological action

Becarbonum possesses antiacid, spasmolytic and hyposecretory action.

Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics

Spasmolytic, and also hyposecretory effects (decrease in biliation, secretion of a pancreas, gastric, bronchial, stalemate and sialadens) are caused by m-holinoblokatorami from extract of a belladonna or in a different way — belladonnas while antiacid influence (neutralization of hydrochloric acid in a gastric juice) is caused by active agent of Becarbonum — hydrosodium carbonate.

Besides, it increases removal of sodium, chlorine, increases osmotic diuresis and shifts reaction of bronchial slime in the alkaline party, does a phlegm at cough of less viscous and stimulates expectoration.

Indications to use of Becarbonum

Indications to use are enterospasms and zhelchevyvodyashchy ways, hyperacid gastritis, heartburn, indigestion (dyspepsia) and other functional disorders of a gastrointestinal tract (including pains of a functional origin).


Side effects

Application instruction of Becarbonum (Way and dosage)

Pill should be taken orally inside in 30–40 minutes prior to full meal on 1 tablet, 2–3 times within a day. The most admissible dose for reception for 1 time — no more than 5 tablets, the most admissible daily dose — no more than 15 tablets.


Symptoms of reception of overdoses of Becarbonum are:

  • psychomotor excitement;
  • accommodation paresis;
  • spasms;
  • acute ischuria.


When using Becarbonum:

  • With Amantadin, tricyclic antidepressants, antiarrhytmic anticholinergic drugs, including with Quinidine, Nefopam, Glyutetimid — anticholinergic action of the tablets Becarbonum amplifies.
  • With opioid analgetics and HP which oppress TsNS (including fenotiazina) — dangerous block of TsNS develops.
  • With phenyl propyl ketones and the Haloperidol, and also organic nitrates increase of intraocular pressure is possible.
  • With corticosteroids (at system use) action of corticosteroids decreases and increase in intraocular pressure is possible.
  • Becarbonum reduces effects of Pilocarpinum at treatment of glaucoma.
  • The combination with m-holinoblokatorami causes strengthening of anticholinergic effects.
  • Use with Furosemide can cause orthostatic hypotension.
  • Reserpinum, MAO inhibitors, guanetidina, antiacid means, vitamin C, Attapulgite — reduce effects of Becarbonum.
  • It is recommended to regulate the Levodopa dosage as decrease in its system concentration is possible.
  • With some antihistaminic drugs, for example, with Meclizine strengthening of antihistaminic action is observed.
  • With blockers of β-adrenoceptors decrease in their effects is possible.
  • With hormonal contraceptives — decrease in contraceptive influence.
  • With the drugs including non-selective inhibitors of the return neyronalny capture of mediators of monoamines – strengthening of sedative action of both HP is observed.
  • Such non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs as Griseofulvin, Digitoxin, Doxycycline, Metoclopramidum, Metronidazole in a complex with Becarbonum cause decrease in effects of the specified drugs.
  • With streptocides — the risk of damage of kidneys increases.
  • With Indapamid, Nizatidin — a potentsiation of their effects.
  • With Ketokonazol pH of a gastric juice raises, Ketokonazol's absorption therefore Ketokonazol is recommended to accept Becarbonum in 2 hours after reception of tablets decreases.
  • With potassium chloride injury of a mucous membrane of a gastrointestinal tract is possible.
  • Effects of anticholinergics are antagonistic to Domperidon's action  on activity of a gastrointestinal tract.
  • Hydrosodium carbonate as making Becarbonum can increase Lithium excretion, reducing that its concentration in a blood plasma.
