Structure

In 100 ml of solution of Bromhexine of a hydrochloride — 0,8 g, oils of a peppermint, an eucalyptus, anise and a marjoram — on 0,025 g, fennel oil — 0,075 g, left menthol — 0,15 g. Potassium dihydrophosphate, Acidum hydrochloricum, sodium hydrophosphate, polysorbate, triethylene glycol, sucrose, ethanol, water as excipients.

Drops in a bottle of 25 ml.

Mucolytic (sekretolitichesky), expectorant.

Pharmacodynamics

In addition to mucolytic and expectorant action has also antimicrobic effect.
Bromhexine reduces viscosity of a secret of bronchial tubes, stimulating cells mucous, developing a secret. Activates a ciliary epithelium that improves otkhozhdeny phlegms. Assume that Bromhexine stimulates production of surfactant which provides stability of alveoluses at breath. Renders also soft antibechic effect.

Menthol renders vasodilating, spasmolytic, expectorant and mucolytic effects. Oil of a peppermint possesses spasmolytic action, and fennel oil, besides — expectorant and antimicrobic. Anisic oil improves function of a ciliary epithelium, has sekretolitichesky and antiinflammatory effect. Eucalyptus oil — bactericidal, antimicrobic and expectorant action which is more expressed at inhalation use. Oil of a marjoram strengthens function of bronchial glands, has antimicrobic and sedative effect.

Pharmacokinetics

After intake it is completely soaked up. Cmax in blood is defined by 1 h. It is metabolized in a liver. Communication with proteins for 99%. T1/2 is 4-4,5 h. Also 15% with excrements are brought by kidneys.

Indications to use

Diseases with the hardly separated viscous phlegm at adults and children:

Contraindications

  • gastric bleeding;
  • hypersensitivity;
  • peptic ulcer;
  • age till 3 years;
  • pregnancy;
  • feeding by a breast.

With care it is appointed at diseases of a liver, a renal failure, epilepsy and alcoholism.

Side effects

  • exacerbation of gastritis and peptic ulcer;
  • nausea, vomiting, increase of level of transaminases;
  • erythema, hypostasis of mucous membranes, it is extremely rare — heavier allergic reactions.

Bronkhosan, application instruction (Way and dosage)

Drops are accepted inside to or after food, diluting in a small amount of liquid, but it is necessary to wash down with a large amount of liquid for strengthening of the liquefying effect of drug.

It is necessary to accept 4 times a day. To adults, and also children since 12 the dose is appointed from 20 drops, 6-12 years — about the 15th cap., 3-6 years — about the 10th cap. Duration of treatment is defined by the doctor and depends on disease severity. At a renal failure of a dose decrease.

The inhalation way of administration of drug is possible. For this purpose it is diluted with boiled water 1:1, solution is heated to body temperature and carry out inhalations twice a day. 4 ml on 1 inhalation are recommended to adults (1 ml corresponds to 25 drops). To children till 2 flyings — the 5th cap., 2-6 years — the 10th cap., 6-10 years — the 25th cap., 10 years — 50 drops are more senior.

Overdose

Overdose is shown by strengthening of side reactions. The gastric lavage is carried out, enterosorbents and a symptomatic treatment are appointed.

Interaction

Bromhexine improves penetration of streptocides and antibiotics (Oxytetracyclinum, cefalexin, erythromycin) into a bronchial secret.

It is impossible to appoint with antibechics, including codeine containing that complicates expectoration of a phlegm.
