Structure

• Powder in bags for solution preparation — a glycosamine sulfate, aspartame, citric acid, carbowax, sodium chloride, sorbitol.
• Solution for injections — a glycosamine sulfate, lidocaine a hydrochloride, sodium chloride, water for injections.
• Tablets — a glycosamine sulfate, microcrystallic cellulose, povidone, croscarmellose sodium, a macrogoal, magnesium erases, titanium dioxide, talc.

Release form

• Powder of Don in the bags containing 1,5 g of a glycosamine of sulfate for solution preparation to a cardboard box No. 20.
• Tablets of Don of oblong shape in a film cover of white color of 750 mg in a polyethylene bottle in a cardboard box No. 60 and 180.
• Solution of Don for injections in ampoules No. 6 complete with solvent in ampoules on 1 ml in a pack from a cardboard, 1 set.

Pharmacological action

Antiinflammatory, the anesthetic adjusting a metabolism of cartilaginous tissue.

Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics

Pharmacodynamics

Drug of Don compensates for the endogenous deficiency of a glycosamine, strengthens synthesis of proteoglycans, synovial fluid and hyaluronic acid.

Has anesthetic and antiinflammatory effect, normalizes permeability of a joint capsule and enzymatic processes in cellular structures of a joint cartilage and a synovial membrane.

In the course of production of chondroitinsulphuric acid drug improves process of fixing of sulfur and normalizes calcium adjournment in a bone tissue, slows down degenerative processes in joints, reduces joint pains.

Pharmacokinetics

Drug after intake is completely and quickly soaked up in a small intestine, (absorption — 90%). Easily breaks biological barriers, being distributed mainly in cartilaginous tissue of joints. An elimination half-life — 68 hours. It is removed in not changed view with urine, partially — with a stake.

Indications to use

• Treatment and prevention of an osteoarthrosis of joints (knee, radiocarpal joints, coxofemoral);
• periarthritis;
•  the deforming arthrosis; 
• osteochondrosis of various departments of a backbone.

Contraindications

Drug in the form of powder, in connection with the content in it of aspartame, is contraindicated at a fenilketonuriya.

Drug solution because of the content of lidocaine it is impossible to appoint the patient with the expressed heart failure, conductivity disturbances, existence in the anamnesis with convulsive paroxysms as elipsopodobny attacks, diseases of kidneys and a liver, at hypersensitivity to lidocaine, in the period of a lactation and pregnancy, age till 12 flyings.

Side effects

• Diarrhea, lock, meteorism;
• local allergic reactions, drowsiness, dizziness, diplopia, headache, numbness of language, tremor, disturbances of cordial conductivity, disorientation.

Don, application instruction (Way and dosage)

To accept drug of Don for joints in the form of powder inside before meal in 30 minutes, previously having dissolved 1 package in a glass of water within 1-3 months once a day. A repeated course — in 2 months.

Pill of Don is taken along with meal on 1 or 2 pieces three times a day.

Solution of Don for intramuscular introduction: the drug ampoule in one syringe is mixed with a solvent ampoule. To enter deeply intramusculary three times a week for 1-1.5 months.

For increase of efficiency of treatment it is reasonable to combine parenteral administration of Dona with oral administration of drug.

Overdose

Data are absent.

Interaction

Drug strengthens effect of adrenoblockers, glucocorticosteroids, MAO inhibitors, hypnotic drugs and sedatives, coumarinic anticoagulants.

Reduces – Chloramphenicol, semi-synthetic penicillin.
