Structure

• 4 grams of extract of leaves of an ivy are a part of 100 ml of drops of Gedeliks volume. Additional components: glitserol, propylene glycol, fragrance (oil of a star-shaped anise, left menthol, eucalyptus oil), peppermint oil.
• 800 mg of extract of leaves of an ivy are a part of syrup of Gedeliks of 100 ml. Additional components: glitserol, oil of fruits of a star-shaped anise, glitserilgidroksistearat macrogoal, gietelloza, propylene glycol, 70% sorbitol solution, water.

Release form

Syrup – brown transparent liquid with a smell. Emergence of a deposit after long storage which at agitation does liquid muddy is admissible.

Pharmacological action

Expectorant, spasmolytic, mucolytic action.

Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics

Drug of a plant origin. Shows wound healing, antioxidant, antiinflammatory action. The summary on means specifies that the saponins which are contained in structure of medicine have antifungal and antibacterial activity.

Triterpenoida have spasmolytic, expectorant and mucolytic effects.

Flavonoids stimulate microcirculation processes, show gepatoprotektorny and nefroprotektorny properties, strengthen diuresis, promote removal of derivatives of uric acid.

Indications to use

The chronic and acute diseases of respiratory bodies of infectious and inflammatory character complicated by dry cough.

The most often asked question of this means at patients is: "for what cough?" or "at what cough it is necessary to use this means?" It is authorized to use syrup for cough of Gedeliks and drop of Gedeliks only for dry cough.

Contraindications

• bronchial asthma;
• supersensitivity to medicine components;
• insufficiency of enzyme arginine sintetaza succinate;
• tendency to a laryngospasm;
• children's age till 2 flyings (for drops).

Side effects

Developing of nausea, allergic reactions, diarrheas, vomitings is not excluded, abdominal pains are more seldom possible.

Application instruction of Gedeliks (Way and dosage)

Drops of Gedeliks, application instruction

Drops are accepted orally, after meal. If the attending physician did not recommend other dosage, then means is used three times a day.

For adult patients the single dose makes 31 drops, a daily dose – 93 drops. Before use the bottle is shaken up. Drops accept undiluted, washing down them with a moderate amount of water.

Duration of therapy depends on severity of a disease, however it is not recommended to carry out reception more than 7 days. After stopping of symptoms of a disease consults to continue treatment of 2-3 more days.

Syrup of Gedeliks, application instruction

Cough syrup are accepted orally, after meal. If the attending physician did not recommend other dosage, then means is used on 5 ml (1 full measured spoon) three times a day. Adult patients should accept syrup of Gedeliks undiluted.

Duration of therapy depends on severity of a disease, however it is not recommended to carry out reception more than 7 days. After stopping of symptoms of a disease consults to continue treatment of 2-3 more days.

The instruction to Gedeliks for children

Drops are accepted according to the following scheme:

• children of 2-4 years accept 16 drops of means three times a day;
• children of 4-10 years accept 21 drops of means three times a day;
• children are more senior than 10 years accept drug in adult dosages.

Drug in the form of drops is not appointed for babies and children 2 years are younger.

Syrup is accepted according to the following scheme:

• children aged about one year accept 2,5 ml (a half of a measured spoon) of means once a day;
• children of 1-4 years accept 2,5 ml (a half of a measured spoon) of means three times a day;
• children of 4-10 years accept 2,5 ml (a half of a measured spoon) of means four times a day;
• children are more senior than 10 years accept drug in adult dosages.

Chest babies and small children syrup are given in the form of the solution diluted with water.

Overdose

Overdose signs: diarrhea, vomiting, nausea, gastroenteritis, nervous excitement.

Overdose treatment: symptomatic.

Interaction

Means is forbidden to be applied together with antibechic drugs because it complicates evacuation of the liquefied phlegm.

Storage conditions

To store in the dark place at the room temperature. To protect from children.

Period of validity

Four years. After packaging opening period of storage decreases till 6 months.

Special instructions

In the absence of medical action against use of drug for 4–5 days or at deterioration in a course of a disease (development of attacks of asthma, temperature increase, emergence of a purulent phlegm) it is recommended to see the attending physician immediately.

As drug does not contain glucose, patients with a diabetes mellitus can use it. 5 ml of means include 1,75 grams of sorbitol that approximately corresponds to 0,15 XE.

Drug intake does not influence ability to driving by motor transport.
