Structure

1 suppository (candle) can include 750 mg or 1500 mg of glycerin – active ingredient.

Additional ingredients: solid fat, hydroxymagnesium carbonate, the distilled monoglycerides, polysorbate.

Release form

Glitselaks is issued in the form of rectal candles (suppositories) weighing 1,4 g (750 mg of glycerin) or 2,8 g (1500 mg of glycerin), on 10 pieces in a pack.

Pharmacological action

Laxative.

Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics

Suppositories of Glitselaks are local laxative medicine. At rectal use, impact of a glitserol directionally on irritation of mucous membranes of a rectum and reflex stimulation of a vermicular movement of intestines that favors to fluidifying of fecal educations and, as a result, simplification of the act of defecation.

Glitserol is quickly enough and almost in full soaked up in a rectum. Active process of metabolic transformations happens in a liver. Glycerin is the making component of a gluconeogenesis and increases the level of plasma glucose. With kidneys it is allocated in not changed form for 7-14%.

Indications to use

Candles of Glitselaks are shown to appointment at locks of various etiology, in particular at a coprostasis and disturbances of defecation at advanced age, and also in cases of evakuatorny locks at children.

Contraindications

  • painful conditions of a rectum of an inflammatory etiology;
  • exacerbation of hemorrhoids;
  • tumors (high-quality/malignant) rectum;
  • proctal cracks;
  • pregnancy;
  • hypersensitivity to active and/or to the HP other components.

Glitselaks, application instruction

Glitselaks it is intended for rectal use. Suppositories need to be entered deeply into a rectum, applying one candle at 24 o'clock.

Children's candles of Glitselaks (on 750 mg) recommend for single daily application from three-months age.

Adult suppositories (on 1500 mg) are applied also.

Without special recommendations of the doctor it is necessary to limit therapy 7 days.

Overdose

At rectal use of drug the possibility of overdose is reduced to zero.

Interaction

Effects of interaction with other medicinal substances were not investigated.

Storage conditions

Suppositories demand the special temperature of storage, a component of 8-15 °C.

Special instructions

You should not grease suppositories with solid or liquid oils of a mineral origin.

In case of long use strengthening of the frustration connected with normal process of defecation is possible.

Do not recommend to apply candles systematically. Therapy should be stopped at once after recovery of a physiological vermicular movement of intestines.
