Structure

Extract of fruits of a thistle dry, lactoses monohydrate, cellulose microcrystallic, talc, starch wheat, povidone, glucose monohydrate, hydrosodium carbonate, magnesium stearate, sorbitol.

Release form

Capsules gelatinous 90 mg of light brown color in the blister on 6 capsules in cardboard packaging No. 30.

Pharmacodynamics

Drug on the basis of extract of fruits of a thistle which contains mix of isomers of flavonolignan (Silibininum, a silidianin, iso-Silibininum and a silikristin) has gepatoprotektorny effect. At the heart of the mechanism of action of Silymarinum — competitive action with toxins on receptors of hepatocytes. Silymarinum regulates a metabolism of cells and permeability of a cellular membrane and contacts free oxygen radicals. Drug stimulates synthesis of structural proteins and phospholipids in the hepatocytes affected with a virus accelerates regeneration processes. Action of flavonoids is in many respects caused by antioxidant action and improvement of processes of microcirculation. Clinically it is shown by normalization of function of a liver, improvement of the general condition of the patient.

Pharmacokinetics

Drug possesses slow absorption, does not collect in an organism. The maximum concentration of Silibininum are found in a liver and it is insignificant — in heart, kidneys, lungs. It is metabolized in a liver in the form of sulfates and glucuronides. The elimination half-life is brought about 6 hours to 80% with bile.

Indications to use

Treatment of damages of a liver of toxic genesis, not viral chronic viral hepatitis, states after an acute hepatitis, cirrhosis and a steatosis of a liver.

It is appointed also for prevention of damages of the liver at an alcohol abuse, long drug intake expressed to chronic intoxication.

Contraindications

Individual hypersensitivity to Karsil Forte, a galactosemia, insufficiency of lactase, age till 12 flyings, pregnancy and the period of a lactation.

To appoint with care in the presence of hormonal disturbances (a hysteromyoma, a cancer of ovaries, a prostatic and mammary gland).

Side effects

Dyspepsia, nausea, diarrhea, local allergic reactions, vestibular disturbances. Side effects, as a rule, after the termination of reception of Karsil completely disappear.

Application instruction Karsil Forte (Way and dosage)

To adults and children after 12 flyings for treatment of a serious illness of a liver appoint on 1 capsule inside, washing down with water 3 times a day and on 1 capsule 2 times a day at easy and moderately severe defeats. It is recommended to accept drug for 3 months.

The instruction on Karsil Forte indicates the need of preventive administration of drug on 1 capsule a day at potentiality of development of medicinal and chemical intoxication.

Overdose

About overdose of drug there are no data.

Interaction

Karsil Forte strengthens action of a number of HP (Diazepam, Vinblastine, Ketokonazol, Alprazolam, Lovastatin).

At purpose of Silymarinum together with oral contraceptives decrease in efficiency of their action is noted.
