Structure

• oil sea-buckthorn (Hipopheae oleum) — 5,4 g;
• boric acid (Boric acid) — 270 mg;
• benzocaine (Benzocaine) — 1,62 mg;
• chloramphenicol (Chloramphenicol) — 1,62 mg.

Additional substances:

• anaesthesin;
• lanolin anhydrous;
• trietanolamine;
• the basis is emulsion.

Release form

Aerosol can, capacity – 60, 80 and 120 g.

Pharmacological action

Drug acts as antibacterial local anesthetic. Considerably slows down process of exudation — allocation from fabric (skin) of proteinaceous liquid. Olasolum accelerates healing of wounds (epithelization).

Pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics

Drug provides the anesthetizing action due to availability of anaesthesin in structure. At the same time process of proteinaceous synthesis in microorganisms is broken. Growth of these microorganisms, and also their reproduction due to effect of boric acid and levomycetinum slows down.

Thanks to sea-buckthorn oil considerably accelerates healing of wounds (epithelization).
The considerable therapeutic effect is reached due to high dispersion of ingredients which are a part of the drug Olasolum. This factor promotes a fast tightening of wounds, healing of grazes and burns, eliminates pain and does dressing manipulations painless. The effect comes already during the first hours and days of use of drug. Painful sensitivity, burning, allocations from the center decrease. Process of epithelization and granulation of the terminations of a wound begins.

High antibacterial activity is noted. This aspect of activity is applicable to colibacillus, staphylococcus, to a pyocyanic stick and other similar microorganisms which often meet in flora of a wound. Especially, drug is effective at slow healing. Survival of skin fragments at skin transplantation to the place of defeat accelerates a burn.

At the patients who are suffering from arterial and venous insufficiency, having trophic ulcers promotes reduction of allocations from not healing trophic centers of the lower extremities. Clears the places affected with an ulcer from necrotic purulent educations and accelerates healing.

Indications to use

Drug is used outwardly. The struck surface is cleared of purulent masses as far as possible. Then evenly cover with a foam layer from a cylinder. This procedure is carried out daily or, every other day. Depending on a condition of damage and level of regeneration, drug can be applied to 4 times a day. Such dosage is applied at treatment of open wounds and burns.

Contraindications

Hypersensitivity to levomycetinum and other components, being a part of drug.

Olasolum it is contraindicated to patients with disturbance of work of kidneys, to nursing mothers, pregnant women.

Foam is not recommended to be applied on wide body parts.

Side effects

During prolonged use of drug or its overdose emergence of the acute toxic reactions passing in chronic is possible. There are following problems:

• nausea;
• vomiting;
• diarrhea (diarrhea);
• exfoliating of a surface of skin (epithelium desquamation);
• headache;
• spasm;
• confusion of consciousness;
• reduction of the emitted urine (oliguria);
• depressed case – exceptional cases.

At internal use sensations of discomfort in a proctal site after administration of drug are possible, desires to defecation are possible.

Olasolum. Application instruction (Way and dosage)

Before the use, it is necessary to stir up spray well – 10–15 times. After that, to remove a safety cap, to put on the giving head and to direct the spraying head nozzle to the processed surface. The consumption of substance of drug and thickness of a layered covering depends at most pressing the head valve. The recommended distance for putting foam — 1-5 cm from the end of a nozzle to a wound.

The application instruction of Olazol allows to enter substance into a cavity also. At gynecologic diseases at first carry out syringing of a vagina by antiseptic agent solution, then enter a sprayer tube on 2 cm, press against the stop and at once release. It is possible to repeat procedure 2 times a day. The full course of treatment makes from 7 to 30 days.

At a proctitis, do previously clearing enema, then enter a sprayer tube into a rectum on 3 – 4 cm, press against the stop and at once release. Procedure is carried out once a day. The full course of treatment makes 2 – 3 weeks.

Overdose

At overdose, nausea and vomiting are possible.

Interaction

Drug should not be accepted with other antibacterial means for local use.

Terms of sale

It is released in drugstores without recipe of the doctor.

Storage conditions

Olasolum should be stored far from fire, heating devices. To protect a cylinder from blows and mechanical damages.

Period of validity

The period of validity of drug makes 2 years.

To children

To use drug to children is more senior than two years only externally. Treatment to Olasolums of children has to take place under the supervision of the doctor. Experience of use in a proctology and gynecology at children is absent.

At pregnancy and a lactation

Olasolum should not be accepted in the course of pregnancy and feeding by a breast.
