Structure

Paroksetin of a hydrochloride hemihydrate, calcium hydrophosphate, is glikolit sodium starch (type A), microcrystallic cellulose, magnesium stearate, Opadry II.

Release form

Tablets of 20 mg in a cover of a round form of white color in the blister in a cardboard pack No. 20, 30, 60.

Antidepressive.

Pharmacodynamics

Paroksetin treats group of drugs — strong selection inhibitors of absorption 5-HT that causes its antidepressive action. However, on chemical structure, drug is not inhibitor of the return serotonin reuptake. The antidepressive effect of drug is shown in 8-12 days of its system reception — expressiveness of a condition of a depression, alarm and frustration of a night dream decreases.

Pharmacokinetics

Drug is well absorbed in a gastrointestinal tract, reception of antiacid means and food does not influence absorption. Bioavailability varies within 50–100%. Linkng with blood proteins about 95%. Therapeutic concentration of drug in blood after intake is reached in 5 — 8 hours. Stable levels in blood from the beginning of administration of drug are reached in 2 weeks. It is metabolized in a liver at primary passing through it. It is removed with urine and a stake.

Indications to use

• In therapy of a depression of any type (reactive, heavy), and also depressions which is followed by feeling of alarm;
• Treatment and prevention of panic frustration and their recurrence;
• Treatment and prevention of generalized alarming frustration and their recurrence;
• Treatment of a posttraumatic stressful state;
• Treatment of social and alarming states and phobias.

Contraindications

High sensitivity to drug, age till 18 flyings, the period of pregnancy and a lactation. To appoint with care to patients with tendency to attacks, 65 years, with pechenochno / a renal failure are more senior, at reception by the patient of HP — MAO inhibitors.

Side effects

Allergic reactions, irritability, sleeplessness, tremor, amnesia, dizziness, hyperexcitability of TsNS, disturbance of concentration of attention, emotional lability, delirium, sonitus, eye pain, conjunctivitis, decrease in visual acuity, increase of the ABP, tachycardia, faint, HSN, disturbance of a heart rhythm, rhinitis, cough, loss of appetite, nausea, gastritis, dysphagy, arthritis, miositis, polyuria, cystitis, urination delay, dysmenorrhea, sexual frustration, oliguria, nephrite, itch, furunculosis, small tortoiseshell, eczema, strengthening of a potovydeleniye, knotty erythema, dermatitis, peripheral hypostases.

Paraxinum, application instruction (Way and dosage)

To take a pill Paroksin during food of 1 times a day, it is desirable in the morning.

At conditions of a depression: daily 20 mg. In the absence of therapeutic effect the dosage is raised to improvement of a condition of the patient on 10 mg a day to 50 mg a day. Duration of administration of drug at acute episodes of a depression can proceed within several months.

At conditions of panic frustration the dose of drug makes 40 mg a day, beginning treatment with a dose of 10 mg a day with the subsequent weekly increase in 10 mg up to the maximum dosage — 60 mg a day.

Overdose

At Paroksin's reception in the doses exceeding the emergence of drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, expansion of pupils recommended perhaps, sinus tachycardia.

Interaction

The drugs suppressing activity of enzymes of a liver increase Paroksin's concentration in blood. Joint reception of Paroksin with the HP inducing enzymes of a liver reduce his activity.

At Paroksin's appointment together with Warfarin the risk of emergence of bleeding increases. Paroksin it is necessary to appoint care with anticoagulants.

Paroksin together with the drugs containing tryptophane is not recommended to appoint. At treatment by Paroksin contraindicated alcohol intake.
