Structure

In 1 tablet of a levotsetirizin of dihydrochloride – 5 mg.

Release form

Tablets in a cover of 5 mg No. 10 or No. 30.

Pharmacodynamics

The antihistaminic drug of the last generation possessing the expressed antiallergic action. Active agent — levotsetirizin — is a metabolite of drug II of generation of a tsetirizin, and unlike it shows big activity, does not cause sedation and does not interact with alcohol.

Competitively blocks H1-histamine receptors that leads to reduction of permeability of vessels, suppression of release of mediators of an inflammation. Considerably reduces an itch and hypostasis of fabrics which are connected with release of a histamine. Does not render antiserotoninovy and anticholinergic effects. In medical doses practically does not cause sedation. The effect develops in 15 – 45 min. and proceeds 24 h.

Pharmacokinetics

Levotsetirizin is well soaked up in a gastrointestinal tract, bioavailability at meal does not worsen. The maximum concentration is defined by 1 hour Levotsiterizin does not get through GEB therefore has practically no effect on TsNS. It is excreted by kidneys, the T 1/2 varies from 7 to 10 h.

Indications to use

It is applied to a symptomatic treatment:

• seasonal and year-round allergic rhinitis;
• Quincke's edema;
• chronic small tortoiseshell;
• reactions to stings of insects.

Contraindications

• end-stage of a renal failure;
• hypersensitivity;
• lactose intolerance;
• age till 6 flyings;
• deficit of lactase;
• pregnancy, lactation.

With care it is appointed at a heavy renal failure, at advanced age. During administration of drug to avoid managements of transport.

Side effects

The met side reactions are more often:

• headache, aggression;
• drowsiness;
• vision disorders;
• excitement, spasms;
• fast fatigue, fatigue;
• dryness in a mouth.

The met side reactions are more rare:

• migraine, dizziness;
• tachycardia;
• dispnoe;
• abdominal pain;
• nausea, diarrhea, dyspepsia, hepatitis;
• mialgiya;
• increase in weight;
• itch, rash, anaphylaxis.

Tsetrilev, application instruction (Way and dosage)

Pill is taken inside, swallowed entirely, washing down with water in enough. For fast effect it is better to take a pill to food.

Adult appoint 5 mg a day for 1 reception. The same dose is recommended and to children 6 years are more senior. Treatment of a pollinosis continues 1-5 weeks. At a chronic current allergic diseases — till 12 months. At a renal failure appoint 5 mg of 1 times at 48 or 72 hours.

Overdose

Overdose is shown by drowsiness at adults. Opposite reaction is observed at children — concern and irritability. The antidote is absent. Treatment consists in a gastric lavage and purpose of enterosorbents. The symptomatic treatment is carried out. The hemodialysis is not effective.

Interaction

The clearance of a levotsetirizin decreases at theophylline co-administration. Use with tranquilizers, antidepressants, MAO inhibitors, alcohol intake causes drowsiness. At use with macroleads and ketokonazoly changes of an ECG are not noted. At use with Cimetidinum, erythromycin, ketokonazoly, azithromycin, diazepam of significant interaction do not note.

About Tsetrilev

Antihistaminic drugs III of generation to which tablets Tsetrilev belong except the expressed selectivity to H1 receptors, have additional antiallergic effects and are deprived of sedative and cardiotoxic action. Duration of medical action is higher, than at generation drugs predecessors II. Their use is justified at long therapy of allergic diseases: year-round allergic rhinitis, the chronic small tortoiseshell, seasonal rhinitis and a rinokonjyunktivit which duration of aggravations is more than 2 weeks, atopic dermatitis, allergic dermatitis.

About drug versatile. Some patients with allergic rhinitis note its efficiency and ability to quickly eliminate sneezing, an itch in a nose, cold, and at the chronic small tortoiseshell to reduce an itch, quantity and the sizes of blisters.
